The form of the indirect object answers the question : to whom ? to what ? (to me, to you, to us): Te lo doy - I give it to you (te is the indirect object, lo is the direct object).

Short forms me, te, le, lo, las, nos, os, los, les, las are placed usually before a verb. Together with infinitive, gerundio and the affirmative form of imperativo, these pronouns are placed after the verb and are written together.

Te veo. - I see you.

Quiero verte - I want to see you.

Lo hago para ti. - I do it for you.
