Polish grammar

Imperative.

The form of the imperative is formed:

in the I and II conjugation using the -j ending: czytaj, umiej

in the III and IV conjugation without an ending, often with the vowel and consonant alternation: pisać - piszesz - pisz, liczyć - liczysz - licz, brać - bierzesz - bierz , robić - robisz - rób. However, sometimes the ending -ij or -yj is used: rwać - rwiesz - rwij< /i>, trzeć - trzesz - trzyj.

Plural forms of the imperative are expressed using the endings -my (myślmy — let us think), and -cie (myślcie – think). In the 1st person singular and in the 3rd person singular and plural one uses the auxiliary word niech / niechaj + present tense:

1niech myślęmyślmy
2myślmyślcie
3niech myśliniech myślą
