The form of the imperative is formed:
in the I and II conjugation using the -j ending: czytaj, umiej p>
in the III and IV conjugation without an ending, often with the vowel and consonant alternation: pisać - piszesz i> - pisz, liczyć - liczysz - licz, brać - bierzesz - bierz , robić - robisz - rób. However, sometimes the ending -ij or -yj is used: rwać - rwiesz - rwij< /i>, trzeć - trzesz - trzyj.
Plural forms of the imperative are expressed using the endings -my (myślmy — let us think), and -cie (myślcie – think). In the 1st person singular and in the 3rd person singular and plural one uses the auxiliary word niech / niechaj + present tense:
1 | niech myślę | myślmy | |
2 | myśl | myślcie | |
3 | niech myśli | niech myślą |
