Conjugations

There are three conjugations of Italian verbs:

Conjugation I has the ending –are: parlare, trovare in the infinitive.

Conjugation II has the ending –ere: vendere, cadere in the infinitive.

Conjugation III has the ending –ire: sentire, finire in the infinitive.

Conjugation III is divided into two subgroups: regularly conjugating verbs (eg servire) and verbs taking –isc- in presente, congiuntivo presente and imperativo (finire).
