Most common Polish words - part 2

Let's continue with most common Polish words. After knowing the words from part 1 and part 2, you should be able to understand about 50-60% of a text. Of course, it still cannot give a real comprehension - each second word is unknown. But it's a good beginning.
Polish is a language with much inflexion - so important is also recognizing inflexion forms of given words

Nouns
Polska = Poland : w Polsce = in Poland, do Polski = to Poland, dla Polski = for Poland, o Polsce = about Poland
życie = life : w życiu - in the life, o życiu - about life
prawo = right, also : law : na prawo - to the right, on ma prawo - he has the right, polskie prawo - Polish law
strona = side, page : na stronie
chwila = moment : po chwili - after a moment
dzień = day : dzień dobry - good day (it's used to say : good morning, good afternoon)
raz = time (in the sense : one time, two times) : jeden raz - one time, dwa razy - two times
słowo = word
miejsce = place
dom = house
głowa = head : na głowie - on the head, on ma to na głowie - he has it on the head
oko = eye
Nouns in part 1 : człowiek, rok, czas

Nouns ending in a consonant are usually masculine: człowiek, rok, czas, dzień, raz
Nouns ending in -a are usually feminine: Polska, chwila, głowa, strona
Nouns ending in -e or -o are usually neuter: słowo, miejsce, prawo, oko, życie

Adjectives:
Adjectives have different endings according to the gender. We put the feminine and neuter form in brackets (masculine -y, -ki, feminine -a, -ka, neuter -e, -kie)
cały (cała, całe) = whole : cała Polska, całe słowo (the whole word), całe życie
każdy (każda, każde) = each, every : każde życie, każdy dzień
wielki (wielka, wielkie) = great, big : wielka głowa, wielka chwila, wielki człowiek, wielki dzień
polski (polska, polskie) = Polish : polskie słowo, polskie prawo
dobry (dobra, dobre) = good : dzień dobry, dobre słowo, dobre życie

Pronouns:
nasz = our
twój = your : mój, twój, jego, nasz, ich : my, your, his, our, their
nic = nothing
coś = something
jaki = which, what kind of
jakiś = some
wy = you : ja, ty, on, ona, ono, my, wy, oni, one = I , you, he, she, it, we , you all, they, they
Pronouns from the 1st part: się, ja, ty, on, ona, ono, oni, one, my, jego, ich, mój, swój, który, co, taki, inny, sam, wszystek, wszystko

Numerals :
dwa = two : dwa razy
pierwszy (pierwsza, pierwsze) = first : pierwszy raz, pierwsze miejsce
wiele = many, much
dużo = many, much
From the 1st part : jeden; we can count: jeden, dwa

Verbs:
Verbs in Polish can be perfective or imperfective. We will give the first, second and third person of the present tense of imperfective verbs in brackets.
chcieć (chcę, chcesz, chce) = to want, to wish : on chce być w Polsce - he wants to be in Poland
musieć (muszę, musisz, musi) = must : on musi mieć dom - he must have a house
mówić (mówię, mówisz, mówi) = to speak : mówi po polsku - he speaks Polish
myśleć (myślę, myślisz, myśli) = to think : myślę, że Robert jest w Polsce - I think that Robert is in Poland
widzieć (widzę, widzisz, widzi) = to see : Widzę ten dom - I see this house
zostać = to stay, to become
stać = to stand
stać się = to become
dać = to give
Verbs from the 1st part: być (jestem, jesteś, jest), mieć (mam, masz, ma), móc (mogę, możesz, może), wiedzieć (wiem, wiesz, wie), powiedzieć

3rd person past tense of być : był, była, było (he, she, it was) - the form depends on the gender.

Verbal constructions :
można = it is possible : można być w Polsce - it is possible to be in Poland

Conjunctions:
kiedy = when : kiedy to jest ? = when is it ? kiedy to mówi ? = when is he speaking it ?
jednak = but, however
gdy = when (in sub-clauses): Gdy jest w Polsce, widzi to = When he is in Poland, he sees it.
lub = or
więc = so, then
jeśli = if
bo = because

Particles:
by = in order to, so that, also often equivalent of English "would"

Adverbs:
jeszcze = still : jeszcze jest w Polsce - he is still in Poland
nawet = even
teraz = now : teraz jest w Polsce - he is now in Poland
bardzo = very : bardzo dobry
też = also

Prepositions:
pod = (most often with instrumental) under : pod domem - under the house
przed = (most often with instrumental) in front of, before : przed domem, przed rokiem
przy = (with locative) at, by, near : przy domu, przy głowie
bez = (with genitive) without

Verbs used in polite forms:
prosić (proszę, prosisz, prosi) - to ask
dziękować (dziękuję, dziękujesz, dziękuje) - to thank
Proszę. - Please. (also : I ask)
Dziękuję. - Thank you. (means : I thank)
